E.A.C.C.  Community Outreach

The Easton Area Corvette Club  is very involved with our local community .  We realize how fortunate we are to own such a wonderful car like the Chevrolet Corvette . But there are many less fortunate , so we try to reach out and help as many local charitable organizations as possible .

Each year our club members dedicate many long hours to organize the three annual events we host to help raise money for these charities :
  • Our Monthly Car Cruise Night ( Cruisin' at the Crossings )
  • Vettes for Pets Summer Car Show
  • Wheels for Meals Annual Car Show

We also participate in many other neighborhood activites such as :  parades , senior citizens programs , college and high school fundraising events and holiday festivities in the area .

Our primary charities are  :
  • the Center For Animal Health & Welfare ( Animal Shelter )
  • Safe Harbor of Easton
  • Victory House of Bethlehem
  • Meals On Wheels of Monroe & Northampton Counties

ROCKIN' THE 50's FESTIVAL AT THE SENIOR CENTER

The Easton Aea
Corvette Club went to the Sacred Heart Community Center to spend the day with some of the folks .  Everyone enjoyed inspecting our Corvettes and had fun sitting in the cars and gettting behind the wheel
.

We all had a good time and enjoyed the great food and music and sharing our day with these wonderful people !

Each month the E.A.C.C. raises funds for local charities thru donations we receive at our Monthly Car Cruise.  Our members also help out at their annual fund raising events .  Just Click On the LINKS of  the charities below to visit their Web Sites  :

Safe Harbor Easton is a program-driven, transitional shelter for homeless single men and women. It is also a drop-in program for low-income adults, particularly those who have difficulty with the tasks of daily life.

Housed in a two-story building at 536 Bushkill Drive in Easton, the shelter has the capacity to house 20 men and 16 women overnight. Shelter residents are permitted to stay at the shelter for 60-120 days while they strive to achieve self sufficiency.

Safe Harbor Easton is dedicated to empowering and educating homeless men and women, and to helping them to achieve a better way of life. To that end, we provide safe, secure housing and case management for all clients. It is our mission to see that everyone who comes to us is given the means and opportunity to live a life of fulfillment and recovery.

During their stay at Safe Harbor Easton, residents have the opportunity to: Learn new problem-solving skills ,stabilize their incomes ,assess their job skills ,look for job training ,Have medical exams and find suitable, permanent housing
Victory House of Lehigh Valley, located in Bethlehem, PA, is a nonprofit, community-based organization committed to addressing the problems of homeless men -- veterans and non-veterans between the ages of 18 and 65. The 40-bed facility provides 24-hour emergency shelter, transitional housing and supportive services such as counseling, life skills education, medical care and employment assistance to males who have found themselves displaced due to recent incarceration, mental health or substance abuse issues or other related dependency problems.

We provide a comprehensive life re-education program designed to aid in a successful transition to self-sufficient living and insure success upon discharge.  The skill building and training provided bestows empowerment, develops hope and maintains dignity through teaching problem resolution techniques, money management, assessment of job skills, job training and aid in finding and securing suitable permanent housing.

Victory House is unique because all clients participating in our program are required to give back to the community through mandatory community service hours.

SENIOR ISOLATION AND HUNGER

Even the most independent among us, if fortunate to live long enough, may experience a decline in mobility or health that can strip away our independence and diminish the quality of our lives. Great advances in medicine have extended our average life expectancy to a record high of 78.7 years. Living longer means more years spent in the struggles that accompany old age. Add to that the increase in geographic mobility of our families and the result is millions of seniors left behind, hungry and alone .

So the Easton Area Corvette Club , in conjunction with a few other local Car Clubs ,  organize  an Annual  Charity Car Show to raise needed funds for our local area MEALS ON WHEELS  :
